Tailscale SSH flaws allow compromised device to gain root on reachable servers

A security researcher disclosed that a single compromised device on a Tailscale network can obtain root access to other servers it can reach if Tailscale SSH port forwarding is enabled. The attack requires the attacker to control a device permitted by the network's access rules to connect to the target server.
Why it matters: Network administrators must patch or reconfigure Tailscale SSH to prevent lateral privilege escalation across their infrastructure.
