Moonshot AI launches Kimi K3.1 Pro and faster Highspeed variant with weights due Nov 4

Moonshot AI released Kimi K3.1 Pro and a Highspeed version that is 2‑3× faster and priced at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, matching GPT‑6.1 pricing and half the cost of Claude Opus 5.5. The models keep a 1 million‑token context window, support image input, and improve coding, 3D modeling, financial analysis and agentic tasks. Moonshot plans to release full model weights by 4 November 2026, and the K3.1 Pro scored 55 points on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, an 11‑point gain over its predecessor.
Why it matters: The new models offer higher performance and lower pricing for developers while upcoming open weights will enable broader customization and research.
